Nederlands Kamerkoor in Vrije Geluiden
07.05.2009On the morning of Sunday May 3rd in the VPRO music programme Vrije Geluiden you were given a foretaste: during this episode music was sung which the composer Matthias Kadar wrote specially for the Nederlands Kamerkoor - Poèmes de Paul Celan (2007).
The broadcast is being repeated on Saturday May 9th at 9:00 on Nederland 1 and can also be viewed via Internet.
On Sunday May 10th the Nederlands Kamerkoor is the main guest in Vrije Geluiden (10:30 on Nederland 1.) You will be able to hear sections of two new compositions by Elmer Schönberger and Eric Verbugt, both also recently commissioned by the Nederlands Kamerkoor. In this second episode there will also be an in-depth interview by Hans Flupsen with the NKK’s General Manager Leo Samama and with one of the choir members, baritone Jasper Schweppe.
These new compositions, together with works by Bernard van Beurden and Micha Hamel, formed part of the NKK programme entitled “The latest crop of Holland’s finest” (Nieuwe Nederlandse Oogst), which was performed this spring at various locations in Holland, and was broadcast live by the KRO on March 26th on Radio 4.
