New subsidy regulations of Performing Arts Fund
03.11.2011On 2 November the new subsidy regulations of the Dutch Performing Arts Fund were published. These are very unfavourable for the Nederlands Kamerkoor , even more unfavourable than expected. From 2013 onwards our subsidy is expected to be reduced by 70%.
Nonetheless we are determined to carry on. Our plans for doing so are at an advanced stage. Whether these will succeed will not become clear until August of next year. This will of course demand a lot of us in terms of perseverance and stamina. Any support that lovers of choral music and our concertgoers and fans can show us will therefore be most welcome and important to us.
It is our intention to treat what is now happening to us not as a rescue operation, but as a great new start, which will result in a new hey-day for the Nederlands Kamerkoor.
