General manager Leo Samama to leave Nederlands Kamerkoor
27.09.2009General manager Leo Samama will leave the Nederlands Kamerkoor with effect from 1 August 2010. Samama began working with the choir in 2003, becoming its general manager in 2004.
His decision follows an eventful year in which he successfully presided over the transition to a new system of subsidies. Samama: “I have greatly enjoyed working for the choir these past years, but the time has now come to hand on the torch to a new and dynamic manager. I am looking forward to being able, once I have left, to devote myself again to writing music and books”.
The board of directors of the Nederlands Kamerkoor regrets Samama’s departure, but respects his desire to give his career a different slant after almost seven years with the choir.
