The trademark of the Nederlands Kamerkoor, conducted by its principal guest conductor Peter Dijkstra, is the vibrant tenderness of its textual interpretation. The opening of “Komm, Jesu, komm” alone, in all its tentative sensibility, is a revelation. And overall this Dutch professional choir under this brilliant conductor is not inclined to go along with the fashion for “faster, higher, louder”. These are unalloyed music-lovers gliding through the lines of music, in the company of which they want to linger as long as possible.
