Job openings & Auditions

Qualified sopranos, altos, tenors and basses that would like to work as extra singers are invited to apply.

The date of the next round of auditions is Monday January 18, 2010. (this has changed! was 19th)

Application:
Here you will find the application form.
On the basis of the information provided on the application form* the Choir’s artistic management will decide whether or not to invite the applicant to audition.
Requirements are: a completed education as a professional singer, experience with ensemble singing and repertoire of various musical periods as well as adequate sight-reading.

Application forms and cd’s must have been delivered before November 15, 2009.

* In addition to the application form, applicants not resident in The Netherlands must also send in a cd.
Cd’s can be sent to: Nederlands Kamerkoor, P.O. Box 10831, NL-1001 EV Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Audition:
At the audition the applicant will be expected to have prepared four pieces:
(1) an aria by J.S.Bach, including recitative (where applicable),
(2) an aria by Haydn or Mozart,
(3) a piece from the Romantic period
(4) a 20th century work

These pieces should together contain text in at least 3 of the following languages: French, German, English, Italian and Latin.
